Save the date: Friday 19th April – 00.05am. Why? Because we’re well chuffed to reveal that we’ve recently finished Love She Wants – the short film. Based on an original screenplay we penned in the lead-up to the EP, LSW was directed by all round top chap Johny Mourgue (Benga, Katy B) and produced by our creative / management team twenty%extra™.

There will be two versions of the film: a 3-minute Random Act to be aired on Channel 4 on Friday 19th (just past midnight) and a full-length 10 minute edit to follow in the summer. Watch this space for more updates.

New remix biz out December 10 2012 on Earnest Endeavours, featuring the legend that is Roots Manuva on the Friday Comes Re-Manuva. We’ve also been blessed with remixes by Bobby Evans of Widows and Swede:art.

Being on a track with Roots, is a moment that I imagined in my first year of college at 16. I randomly saw him walking around outside my college. I approached him and we chatted, I’m still listening to Brand New Second Hand, so it was a big moment for me as he’s still one of my favourite MCs. It’s an honour to know the vibe moved him enough to want to do his thing on it!

The Bobby Evans mix really brought out the fun vibe to the track. It instantly made me want to dance like a lunatic, and his drum work is impeccable. He took what was great about the original and just amplified it to powerful effect.

A quick heads-up to let ya’ll know that we’ll performing this Saturday at Turn Off The Radio alongside Courts, Kimberly Anne, Katy & The Elder & DJ Ayr One.

We were very excited when we heard this remix. Swede:art has really slowed the pace of the track down and pronounced bits of the song, whereas in our version we’d chosen to keep the groove going. Broody, pensive and subtle; we’re definitely digging this.
